Nazi-Era Provenance Workshop

The 2017 AAMD Advanced Nazi-Era Provenance Workshop will feature an international component, which will include archivists from two of the most important and interconnected dealers active before, during, and after the Second World War: Thomas Agnew & Sons, housed at the National Gallery, London; and Colnaghi, stored outside London at the Windmill Hill Archives, Waddesdon Manor.

Additionally there will be an introduction to the archives of M. Knoedler, held by the Getty Research Institute. The Agnew and Knoedler archives have been partially digitized and made available online; Colnaghi is only available on site. The day will conclude with a presentation by the archivist of the United States National Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives.
