The National Gallery's 'Whistlejacket' goes North
/The much loved 18th century equestrian portrait of 'Whistlejacket' by George Stubbs from the National Gallery collection is currently one of ten 'star loans' to the Great North Museum. The loan is part of the Great Exhibition of the North in Newcastle/Gateshead, a three-month celebration of the North of England's innovators, artists and designers which brings together a wide variety of exhibits, performances, new artworks and experiences.
'Which Way North' at the Great North Museum will run until Sunday 9 September 2018. More information can be found here.
